Eastern Cape Police Commissioner Liziwe Ntshinga, has self-isolated after testing positive for COVID-19.
Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga, the Eastern Cape Provincial police commissioner has tested positive for Covid-19.
Coronavirus has taken its toll on the SAPS top brass in the province. A senior police senior official had been diagnosed as positive in the same province.
General Liziwe Ntshinga is said to be in high spirits but is exercising extreme caution to ensure her safety and well-being and those around her.

The Eastern Cape provincial office have been decontaminated and close contacts to the police commissioner are being tracked and tested.
The Eastern Cape Police management have been blamed for withholding information on Coronavirus statistics.
According to a source the police management are “hiding” the actual number of top police personnel who tested positive for coronavirus. He also blamed the management for exposing junior members to the virus. Unfair labor practices and allocation of duties were pointed out as some members are said to be given special treatment.
“We are aware that they tested positive, many of them but they are withholding the information. Some members are put on the firing line without adequate protective clothing while others stay at home. What’s special about them,” an officer said.
