Durban Gen loses cast members to new series, Lingashoni
It is barely six months after Durban Gen‘s premiere and already two cast members have jumped off the ship. In a bid to replace Dr Mchunu, the show adds Uzalo’s Thulani, a rowdy and arrogant intern. Although viewers are captivated the drama he brings, they are still not over Dr Bae’s exit. Just as they are processing this loss, Dr Luthuli joins a new show.
As the new show’s premiere is at our doorstep, Lingashoni introduces it’s cast which includes Dr Luthuli from Durban Gen, Dr Mchunu from Durban Gen, Tebogo from Muvhango and Bab’Ngema from Scandal!

Recently, news make rounds that Dr Luthuli from Durban Gen will be leaving the show to join a new one. Playing Mpumi Cele, a rather different character from her previous one, she will bring rebel to our screens.
Mchunu’s journey on the show is short lived as his character is killed off just a few months after his debut. Details are still unclear as to why he leaves and clearly fans want him back on screen.
The wait is over and as promised he will be showing off his dexterities in Lingashoni. Playing a gay character, fans are in for a fun ride.
