Former Idols SA judge Unathi Nkayi has set tounges wagging on social media after revealing that she graduates with a doctorate. The celebrated entertainer took to Instagram to share her wins with Mzansi. She shared a picture rocking a graduation gown and captioned her photo with a well-written note. She addressed Mzansi about her middle name Fundiswa and shared her inspiring story about how her grandfather blessed her by giving her a unique name.

Taking to Instagram, Unathi wrote:
My paternal grandfather named me Fundiswa, a name I grew up hating NOT understanding the generational curses he was breaking at THAT moment.
As the only grandchild he named 😂😂😂 something I brag about to all my cousins and sisters😂😂😂😂😩🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️ I now understand what he was doing for our family. His son and his wife, my parents left SA for 11 years and raised us out of the country for THAT specific reason. Becuase my grandparents wanted ALL of us to be educated at a time when apartheid wouldn’t allow it for us black people. My parents only saw their parents twice in this time becuase of THIS sacrifice.
Now I love my middle name……still hate all the abbreviations, Fura, Mafundi, Fufu, etc😩

Mzansi came to her post and congratulated her for bagging a doctorate. The star did not share the institute she attended while pursuing her doctorate, but many are inspired by how she has managed to multi-task as a student and full-time entertainer.
