‘DJ Zinhle ruined everything’ Mzansi reacts to DJ duo Black Motion’s split after 12 years.
Black Motion is rumoured to have split after 12 years of making music together, and fans have been left in turmoil. This news came after fellow musician Prince Kaybee announced on his Twitter that he is heartbroken Black Motion is no more. Besides fans being left heartbroken, they have started assigning blame, and DJ Zinhle is at the receiving end of it.
How the duo was formed and their history
The duo was formed in 2010 by Robert Mahosana, popularly known as MurdaBongz, and Thabo Mabogwane, also known as Thabo. The two have gone to being signed by Faimos Entertainment to Sony and universal. Together the duo has made six albums and worked with famous musicians. Their last album was in 2020, named The Healers: The Last Chapter. After news of the split, fans started wondering if the two were trying to tell us something through the title of their album.

Several weeks ago, Twitter celeb news blogger Musa Khawula announced that the duo had split. Black Motion, through their Instagram pages, denied the news and said they were stronger and still a duo. However, 11 weeks after they released their press release statement, fellow musician Prince Kaybee announced on his Twitter that the two had split. Coming from a fellow celebrity, many people think that the news is legit this time.
Mzansi Blames DJ Zinhle for Black Motion split
Fans are heartbroken with the split news and have started assigning blame. Many of the duo’s fans and followers believe Murdah Bongz’s relationship with Zinhle ruined Black Motion. Some say history has repeated itself, using Big Nuz as an example which was destroyed by Babes Wodumo’s relationship with Mampintsha. Since DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz started dating, Murdah has been getting booked solo a lot or perfoming with his girlfriend.
Murdah Bongz has had international tours on his own, and many people think he believes he will be more successful on his own. Only Thabo’s picture is put on the flyer when Black Motion is booked for gigs. The two have been trying to deny it as much as they want, but they already have solo careers. The duo has yet to address the rumours and fans on the issue, but we wish them all the best.
