Lesedi Nkaiseng A.K.A Dj Speedsta was born on the 4th of May 1992 in Gauteng in the Vaal Triangle. Dj Speedsta is the last born in a family of three children and was raised by both parents Mr & Mrs Nkaiseng in the Vaal Triangle. He originates from a family of DJs as his father was a DJ in University and his brother is still also a DJ.

Lesego studied at Vaalpark Articon High school in the Vaal Triangle in Gauteng before relocating to Johannesburg to follow his dreams. He was well behaved boy but however his outgoing nature put him in trouble with his parents as he refused to learn at private schools but instead preferred public schools which he believed matched his outgoing nature. Later on Speedy moved to Johannesburg and enrolled himself at Johannesburg University for a basic business degree but decided to drop the degree in order to pursue his Dj career. His journey to stardom began when he won the 2008 addition of ‘So yo think you can Dj’. While Djing at a Drake festival in 2011 he had the crowd going crazy and from that moment he decided to take Djing professionally and also ventured into music production.

When it comes to love & relationships, this hit maker has been known to be very discreet. Little is known about who DJ Speedsta has dated ever since he came into the spot light. The ‘Combos communicating’ producer has had a successful journey to stardom which started with playing at huge gigs & festivals in 2011 till he landed a presenter’s spot on Soweto TV’s Urban Explosion in 2012. In 2014 he released his first mixtape which featured Casper Nyovest and other upcoming rappers. In 2015 he also released his popular second mixtape titled ‘ The Guy – 016 to the world’ and was honored by appearing on the cover of hype magazine. Later in 2015 he was asked to present the ‘Hip hop radio show on YFM and his fan base grew while he became a brand name.
2016 was his biggest year as he featured in adverts & also became a presenter’s on Vuzu Tv. The same year he produced ‘Mayo’ which sold gold and became a hit across the whole world while topping chats. The song featured uprising stars such as Shane Eagle and Tellaman. It took Lesedi Nkaiseng AKA DJ Speedsta 5 years to release his much anticipated debut album ‘Bottlebrush Street’ which only came out in 2018, sold well and mean while he had already won several awards for the tracks. In November 2019 he released his third EP titled ‘Pretty girls & Palm trees’. Since 2018 DJ Speedsta has hosted LiveAmp the biggest live music show in South Africa and is a resident DJ for Metro Fm.
