DJ Shimza receives backlash over second restaurant outlet launch
No doubt his love life and business empire have fast become a typical reality show of late. He has been topping trends of late after he revealed that he was set to open a second restaurant in 2023x
DJ Shimza took to Twitter to announce that he will be opening up a second restaurant. The first one, the HANG AWT 1632, which he opened in 2020 in Thembisa, received a good response.
However, his tweet came at the wrong time, as Mzansi was trying to get to terms with the untimely death of Mampintsha, who died after having a stroke.

According to the company’s website, the restaurant is a contemporary dining place that also sells traditional dishes. The mission is to maintain impeccable service while giving the customers a classy ambience with an added twist of the kasi culture.
Since its establishment, it has managed to host several A-list celebrities, including Cassper Nyovest, Sjava, and other Mzansi celebrities, who have pulled in crowds to the venue.

However, it seems as if nothing has materialized yet. The bubbly DJ just gave Mzansi a nod about his plans. Taking to Twitter, he posted:
“In 2023, I want to open a second @thehangawt.”
In the mix of things, the tweet got Mzansi talking. There were mixed feelings between his 1.6 million followers who flooded the comment section with their two cents.
Some responded by giving him ideas about where the following location for the establishment should be. The top suggestions were in Florida street in Durban, Rusternberg or Limpopo.
Other tweeps cautioned the DJ to chill out. They said that his announcement had come at the worst possible time as they were busy mourning Kwaito star Mampintsha who had died hours before Shimza’s next year’s resolution post. Here are some of the tweets that flooded social media.
