It is a shocker that the duo charges a whopping R300 000 for an outdoor event. However, that’s the least they can charge but their charges differ with season and event. On the other hand, a promoter has to fork around R200 000 for an indoor event. Despite their fees, they remain one of the most booked duos not only in South Africa but the world at large. They have had European tours, and they seem to be winning big.

And these come along with an R280k budget for transportation. It has since become their trade mark they don’t do interviews. They also demand armed private security. All these are excluded from their R300 000 booking fee.
In the mix of things, music producer Chymamusique endorsed the fee and requirement as he retweeted the details. A few other social media users supported the fee, believing the Scorpion Kings deserve it. Despite all being said, DJ Black Coffee remains the highest-paid DJ in Africa. Black Coffee is one of the biggest DJs in the world and one of the largest musical artists to ever come out of Africa. Charging up to $300,000 which amounts to five million three hundred seventy-nine thousand four hundred thirty-five rands a set, he’s one of the most coveted and in-demand DJs in the game today.
However, unlike other who make their booking fees known, Black Coffee keeps his booking fees exclusive, but a few celebs who have booked him in recent years has let Mzansi sneak into his booking fees. Controversial media personality and Idols SA judge Somizi once revealed that Black Coffee charge exorbitant fees for his sets.
