Gospel legend Deborah Fraser is related to the Jerusalema vocalist Queen Nomcebo Zikode, the two are united by Nomcebo’s marriage to Deborah’s son thus Deborah is Nomcebo’s mother in law.
It runs in the blood as the old saying states but this time it runs across the extended family.
The current record holder of the highest gospel album sales with 6.1 million, Deborah Fraser started her career as a backing vocalist back in 1985 and released her debut album in 2000 which sold over 1 million copies making her the best newcomer.
Just like her mother in law, 35-year-old Nomcebo started her career as a backing vocalist. In 2020 she saw her fortunes change after her collaboration with hitmaker Master KG Jerusalema song went global platinum.
