President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that South Africa will remain under lockdown level 3, the sale and distribution of alcohol has been banned in South Africa with immediate effect.
Addressing the nation on Sunday evening, Cyril Ramaphosa says Cabinet has decided that the country will remain at level 3 but existing regulations should be tightened.

Restrictions and Permitted Activities
Masks
We should enforce the wearing of masks. Regulations on wearing of masks will be enforced.
All workplaces, institutions must have an official who will ensure masks are worn.
Taxis
Long distance taxi’s can carry 70 percent capacity of passengers.
Local/short trips can carry 100 percent load with precautions.
Alcohol
Sale and distribution of alcohol will be suspended with immediate effect.
Curfew
South Africa’s curfew from 9pm – 4am will take effect from 13 July 2020
Family visits
Family visits and social activities will not be allowed from now
