Christmas Day is usually a time of joy and precious moments with family and friends, but that was not the case for Connie Ferguson over the years. Over the years, Connie Ferguson has impressed Mzansi with her flawless Christmas celebrations with her late husband, but that has not been the case in the last three years since Shona’s sudden death.
On Instagram, the star actress posted, “3rd Christmas without you… Will it ever stop feeling strange?” Her post certainly left Mzansi in tears as many filled her comments section with supportive comments. Connie and Shona Ferguson met on 31 July 2001 and got married four months later. Over the years, they were known as Mzansi’s power couple. Their love life, filled with priceless moments, often made them trend.
However, Shona Ferguson passed away on 30 July 2021 at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg due to Covid-19 complications. The late 47-year-old’s memorial service was held two days after his sudden death. He was laid to rest at the Fourways Memorial Park.
