Confirmed: Kelly Khumalo set to replace Somizi on Idols SA
Despite his marital drama fizzling out M-Net isn’t holding back when it comes to replacing Somizi from his post. The celebrated Tv personality was shown the exit door after leaked audios of Mohale complaining about Somizi flooded social media. Even up to now little is known about the person who leaked the audios.
The power couple has since indicated that it’s heading for divorce. Well, it has been revealed that the producers are eyeing singer Kelly Khumalo to take over Mhlongo’s hot seat.
Following the dumping of Somizi Mhlongo from his Idols SA duties by M-net, the show will replace the flamboyant choreographer with guest presenters.
Highly placed sources have it that the channel has decided to use guest presenters to test the waters, especially fans. Other sources close to the showrunners indicated that Kelly Khumalo is the leading candidate for the judge’s position so far.

It has been established that Khumalo is leading because she was suggested by the fas and M-net takes feedback from fans seriously. However, she is not just leading the race but close sources have it that she is the one to take the seat. M-Net is yet to give an official statement in regards to this developing story.
“Khumalo will definitely be one of the guests,” said the informant, adding that she is tipped to replace Mhlongo.
However, Somizi made his last appearance on the show yesterday as it wrapped up its pre-recorded episodes. Rumour has it that singers Zonke Dikana and Thandiswa Mazwai are also billed to make guest appearances as judges.
Earlier this month Somizi was axed from Metro FM, by SABC. The Public Broadcaster even indicated that Somizi was not returning despite leaving on mutual agreement. Following his fallout with metro FM, Idols SA also parted ways with him.
