China’s fight against corona virus is starting to bear fruit as they have recorded no new corona virus infection case for the first time in three months.
Corona Virus is believed to have started in Wuhan City, a coastal city of Hubei province in Central China. The country recorded only 34 cases across all provinces, a number which is much lower than cases being recorded by other countries where the virus has spread. China closed one of its Corona Virus treatment hospitals as there are fewer new cases to render the need off its continued operation.
Since the outbreak, the virus has infected more than 81,000 people and killed more than 2,000 people in China alone.
There was a jovial celebration 5 days ago when a hospital that had been temporarily build to accommodate patients was closed.
Health workers in China worked tirelessly to combat the spread of the virus. Volunteers also joined at the fore front to fumigate streets and residents. On a global scale, Corona virus has infected 145 000 people and killed over 5,400 and forced many governments to impose drastic measures such as travel bans and lockdowns in cities.
What caused corona virus?
The cause of the virus is not yet known. It is believed COVID-19 started in the wet markets of Wuhan. The markets sell fresh animal meat and live animals. Sea food is also popular at the market. Researchers believe the disease was caused by an unknown animal from the sea.

Corona Virus is taking centre stage in Italy as it killed 457 people yesterday. The number is the highest death toll per day that the European country has experienced over the last 3 months when the virus started.
Other countries that are still facing high rates of infection are Italy, Iran and Japan.
