It never pours but rains for the Twala’s. Despite being reported sober during the filming of Senzo Meyiwa’s Netflix documentary, reports have it that Longwe Twala is now homeless and back on drugs.
Was he even sober during the documentary shooting, or they forced him to look so? Longwe happens to be the son of legendary musician and producer Chicco Twala.
It has since been confirmed that he has lost his battle with hard drugs again and is back in the streets barely after checking out from rehab.
The Rumour mill said he didn’t have an extended stay at home. Reports have it that his father, Chicco Twala, is disappointed and has run out of ideas to help his drug-addict son. On the other hand, his brother Twala Twala is not surprised.
A close source to the family has revealed that the Twala’s have run out of ideas. The sources has it that:
“Nobody knows what happened to him to ditch his home and go back to drugs. His family, especially his father Chicco is devasted,” said the source.
Contacted for comments, Twala Twala said:
“We are not surprised, Longwe has been on drugs his entire life, so there is nothing to comment on there.”

Of interest is that he was implicated as one of the suspects in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
He was one of the six people present when Senzo Meyiwa was shot at point blank whilst hanging out with her then-girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, at her mother’s place in 2014.
Before the incident, Longwe had been linked to drugs on several occasions. After being tagged along as one of the suspects, he was nowhere to be found.
However, in the mix of things, his father revealed that he was in rehab. It was reported that he was discharged from the facility in November 2022.
Speaking on the sidelines of Senzo Meyiwa’s trial outside the Pretoria High Court on 15 November 2022, Chicco said that the police had been struggling to find his son as he had been in rehab.
Chicco revealed that Longwe was out of rehab and ready to take the witness stand.
