Celebrating inheritance money: Watch as Gomora actors Mam Sonto and Gugu celebrate Phumulani’s money with crazy dance moves.
Five months ago, ‘Connie Chiume’ Mam Sonto’s son-in-law Phumulani ‘Buyile Mdladla’ was killed in cold blood by Melusi after being found attempting to kill her wife, Thathi ‘Katlego Danke’. The whole family never believed Thathi when she said that Phumulani used to beat her up and he had dirty money. Sonto and Gugu lived together even after Phumulani’s death, with the two forming a very close relationship that Gugu even refused to leave Gomora with her grandmother.
The great news to Sonto and Gugu ‘Velile Makhoba’ came when Man Phumz’s lawyer went with a will of his estate. The lawyer came with Phumulani’s parents as Mam Sonto got R2 million and Mazet got R1 million from the inheritance. Unfortunately, Thathi did not get a penny despite carrying Phumulani’s baby with her. Phumulani’s parents were thrilled with Thathi getting nothing before Sonto told them of her pregnancy. More drama is yet to come, but it could not stop Sonto and Gugu from celebrating their share.

Phumulani was a wolf in sheep clothing in Gomora.
Phumulani was one of the wealthiest men in Gomora during his time. He had built a crew of gangsters that worked his dirty while he portrayed a saint face to society. He managed to convince everyone to the extent that Sonto even believed him over her daughter.
On the other side, Gugu believed her mother, Thathi, over her father, Phumulani. She knew Phumulani was a rich wolf in sheep’s clothing and not a saint many people saw. Gugu seems suspicious of her father’s contact and treatment of Thathi, which justifies how she manages to stay at Sonto’s house so happily. Phumulani’s relationship with Mam Sonto became intimate as they formed a very close in-law relationship. Their relationship guarantees a more significant chunk of Phumulani’s inheritance against his parents. As Sonto got R2 million, she was amazed and unsure how to use it. She later decided to hand the cheque to Gugu once she turned 18. Gugu was happy and amazed as more pages unfolded.
