Celebrated Mzansi Star Actor Tsepo Desando Joins The Queen
Celebrated South African star actor Tsepo Desando has joined The Queen after putting up a show on Ferguson Films Production inspired series ‘Unmarried’.
The seasoned actor who boasts around with a celebrated career that spans for decades will make his debut as Charles Matshikiza. Desando will star as the ex-husband of Noma Princess ‘Noma’ Matshikiza, a role played by award-winning actress Brenda Ngxoli.
This year marks Tsepo 30-years in the entertainment industry. He’s thrust into the limelight can be traced back to theatre plays which he performed under the South African State Theatre.
Tsepo was delighted about his new role on The Queen and had this to say.
“I am extremely excited to be part of one of the best productions in the country. Ferguson Films not only creates amazing work but they also create an atmosphere that allows actors to flourish. I am also honoured to work alongside award-winning actors,”
Tsepo is a talented and versatile performer who once starred in Opera productions such as De Zauberflote, AIDA, Faust, and Rigoletto. Just like those celebrated actors of his time he also featured in musical productions such as Kippie Moeketsi, Milestones, and Black Age.
He also featured in commercial advertising as a presenter before he made his much awaited-thrust into the soapie industry. The veteran actor is one of the few actors who have ever featured in several most-followed Mzansi soapies. He once starred in soapies like Muvhango and Scandal.

During the course of his decorated career, Tsepo has also become a reckoning force behind the camera. No doubt that his vast experience on-screen and behind the camera will bring about thrills and drama on The Queen.
Despite Gomora being Mzansi’s Magic most-followed hit soapies The Queen seems to bolster its cast to return the lost pride.
Tsepo didn’t hint much about his much-awaited on-screen character. However, he will star as Charles, an estranged ex-husband of Noma who made wrong choices and moves in business and relationships. He returns into Noma’s life to try and win her back and hopefully make up for the past mistakes he made with her and the Khozas. Will all go his way? Tsepo had this to say about his debut
“All I can add is that there will be lots of drama for the viewers,”
