However, the show recently made headlines for good reasons after a long time.
According to January viewership patterns Isibaya performed well and it made it into the top 3 of the most-watched soapie operas on Dstv. One of Isibaya producers Angus Gibson extended his gratitude and blessings to Sdumo after his stellar performances on the show.

In return of the kind gesture, he penned a moving tribute to Isibaya. Their tribute was accompanied by a series of priceless moments on and off the screens.
“What a beautiful 8 years on Isibaya with you. Thank you for so many beautiful scenes and memories, for sharing your talent and being so joyful. You have been such a delight to watch on screen, to talk to and work with. You are a gentleman, a professional and an amazing talent.
I have loved Sbu deeply, who this character is in his essence. He has been so important for SA TV, too much negative representation of young back men in the world, Sbu represented a young man making his own journey, staying true to his own values and integrity, trying to break free from the shackles of past, but still respecting his roots and culture, hardworking, fueled by ambition, wanting to build a decent life and family.
He has remained a man of integrity no matter what. And I have loved and admired how you took the character off the page and sculpted him to be such a strong person that everyone loved.”
Showered Praises to ex-Tv Wife Mbatha
The vivacious actor also showered to his ex-Tv wife Nomzamo Mbatha. Mbatha has been making all sorts of headlines after she bagged a role on Coming 2 America. She stars along with Hollywood finest Eddie Murphy, Wesley Snipes and Kiki Layne.
Despite his much-talked-about exit, the actor has joined a number of celebrated actors who have joined The Estate. The Estate is a new telenovela set to be aired on SABC 3. All is set for the new telenovela and the official trailer of the drama series has been released.
