Cassper Nyovest consoles Makhadzi after SAMA26 snub
Award winning hip hop artist Cassper Nyovest known by his legion of fans as King Mufasa has consoled Limpopo based artist and Matorokisi hit-maker Makhadzi after she was snubbed for the SAMA26 awards.
Makhadzi poured her heart out over the snub on social media, thanking her legion of fans for standing with her along the journey though she feels heart broken for not being nominated.
Posting on her Twitter page Makhadzi congratulated other musicians for being nominated. She went on to express her disappointment over the snub as she expected a nomination after what ‘Matorikisi did to Africans’.
“Congratulations to all @TheSAMAs nominees..so said for not being recognized
after what Matorokisi did to AFRICANS last year..to all my fans I submitted everything is just that ndinga ndoneta tshinyama. Your love and support matters,” she posted.
Multiple SAMAs winner Cassper Nyovest showed his support Makhadzi in her difficult moment. Cassper told Makhadzi to forget about the awards as they don’t matter as much as people’s love. Cassper believes genuine love is the reason behind successful careers and awards do not play a role as they fade away if love is lacking.
“Sorry Queen!!! Keep grinding!!! Forget awards!!! The people’s love is the greatest award an artist can have. When da people love you genuinely, you will have a long successful career whether you win awards or not. Some people clean up at the awards & fade away the very next year,” Mufasa replied Makhadzi.
The music loving South Africans were shocked by the exclusion of the Limpopo trio Master KG, Makhadzi and the John Cena hit-maker Sho Madjozi despite having hits in the yesteryear.
The SAMA26 awards ceremony will be presented over five nights between 3 and 7 August 2020 at 21.30.
