South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has hit back at his followers for calling him gay after complimenting Maps Maponyane.
Nyovest took it to Twitter where he replied various tweets that were alleging that the was gay.
The ‘Doc Shebeleza’ hitmaker had praised a photo of him and Maps which Maps had posted on his Twitter account.
In the photo, Maps was reportedly donning a face mask while outside.
Cassper then replied to the photo calling Maps a ‘charmer boy’ even without a mask on.
The rapper in his reply asked Maps what kind of soap he was using and if he could show others how to be attractive.
“Mfanaka mara o charmer boy witsi. Even behind a mask!!!! No shem, jealous down!!! Re rute!!! O tlhapa ka sepa sefeng mpinch???” Cassper tweeted.
Subsequent to his tweet, the reaction from Twitter users was mixed with some calling Cassper gay while others said me were not allowed to praise each other.
“We always knew that you’re gay,” twitted one of his followers.
“Are you shooting your shot or?” twitted another follower while another one twitted, “Gents who does not get compliments find this weird lol.”

Cassper quickly fired back to those questioning his sexuality and said he did not mind being labelled a gay for praising another man.
“Men who are not comfortable with their sexuality are afraid to compliment other men, they see it as being gay. I am very comfortable, I do not even mind being called gay for complimenting other men. Ha motho a le montle o montle. I am a very attractive man myself. Takes one to see one,” he said.
