Carol Ofori Returns To East Coast Radio
Carol Ofori has confirmed that she is making a return to East Coast Radio. The station has also confirmed that Carol Ofori will be joining them.
This follows an announcement by the radio presenter that she will be departing from Radio 2000 at the end of October. Carol Ofori hosted ‘Queens Of Grace With Carol Ofori’ on Radio 2000.
At East Coast Radio, Carol will be taking over the 0900hrs to 1300hrs time slot. She replaces Thandolwethu who parted ways with the station due to health reasons. Listeners can tune into her show starting November 16, 2020. The award-winning radio personality said it feels great to be returning to East Coast Radio. She said when she left she knew she would return but did not think the reunion would be so soon.
Carol Ofori’s return to East Coast Radio means her family will be relocating to KwaZulu-Natal. She said her family is looking forward to living in a new province.
She hosted East Coast Radio Top 40 for five years before she left two years ago. Other radio personalities who are joining East Coast Radio include Lucky du Plessis. The station is in the process of revamping its lineup.
Carol says she decided to become a radio personality when she auditioned to be on campus radio in January 2000 whilst still at RAU now University of Johannesburg. After her stint at RUA where she served as a DJ Manager and Radio Presenter, she moved on and worked for a month at Kaya FM on a learnership programme in the newsroom.
Carol also presented a parenting talk show Raising Babies 101 on SABC 2.
