Car hijacking gone wrong as gang dressed in police uniform is killed after a shootout with the police
Two blue light robbers were killed after a shootout in what looked like a hijack gone wrong. A third gang member is said to have escaped the scene. According to sources the gang of robbers dressed like police officers tried to hijack a SUV but the driver was prepared.
Unfortunately the victim was also shot dead. Four robbers are said to have been in a shootout with the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department which resulted in two of the members being shot.
Other sources report that this gang had been terrorizing people in South Africa. Apparently gangs and robbers have been using the police uniform to rob and terrorize people. Two men were arrested for impersonating police officers. The question is where are these robbers getting the police uniforms in the first place?
What seems to be confusing the public is who the actual police are? A Bentley driver was assaulted and threatened to be killed by a police officer. This has made the public scared. No one knows who to trust these days.

Make sure it’s a police car with full police markings. If it’s just a white car, don’t stop. Also look at the number plate if you can. All police cars’ vehicles in SA end with “B”. If you see GP or something else – run!
