Can you be your own grandfather? – Family is important in every race and religion, it is the blood bond that keeps us together. Some cultures mainly in Africa and Asia takes a commitment in keeping family trees and respecting and keeping close family bloodlines.
Families follow a certain blood line, which they know or they lost record of. It’s difficult to keep track of blood lines when migration and infidelity is on its high.
What is a grandfather?
A grand father is the biological or foster father to your biological or foster parent (either father or mother)
So is it possible to be your own grandfather?
This seems queer but surely with the help of a family tree one can be his own grandfather.

If there is a widow with her own daughter and your father and you ( his own son). If you marry the widow and the widow’s daughter marry your father. The widow, your wife will be a mother in law to her husband’s father who is also her daughter’s husband and a grandmother to her own husband. Since your mother’s mother is your wife and your wife is also your grandmother. As the husband of your grandmother you become your own grandfather.

Immediate family.
A family is made up of a father, mother and their children. When a man marries his wife and the two have children together, the form an immediate family or core family. Also immediate family comes from step brothers and step sisters. The Step family, is any family member who you share at least a father or mother with (this is for children). If you share the same father and comes out of different wombs (different mothers) he or she becomes step sibling. Step sibling s are classified under immediate family.
Extended Family
An extended family is a family that extends beyond the nuclear family, consisting of parents like father, mother, and their children, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.
Foster Family
It is a family in which a minor has been placed into a ward, group home or private home of a state-certified caregiver, referred to as a “foster parent“. The evaluated caregiver’s family becomes the children’s foster family.
