He has been making all sorts of headlines. He finally got his plug back and is proving to be regaining his lost glory. no doubt his recent projects are making all sorts of wave and topping the charts.
However in the mix of things Emtee has seen himself making all sorts of headlines for the wrong reasons. The star singer has been implicated in a nasty war with FFS Finance SA. Well, little is known about the matter beforehand at the moment.
But rumour has it that rapper Mthembeni Ndevu, popularly known as Emtee, could lose his double-cab Ford Ranger after it emerged in court documents that he owes FFS Finance SA almost R200 000 in arrears for the car.
According to court papers filed in the Johannesburg High Court, Emtee has missed about 20 payments since he bought the car in February 2018 for R476 590.

The agreement was for him to pay R9 417.81 over 72 months. But by May 2018, he had already defaulted once on the instalments. Now he owes his creditors R194 378 in arrears – and they want the car back. When contacted for comment this week, Emtee vehemently denied that there was a court case against him and he was about to lose the car. Instead, he insisted that there were people out to “get” him and demanded to know where the information came from.
“Who sent you? I just want to know the person who told you all of this,” he said.
He said he was a parent and was tired of people saying bad things about him in the media. Even after telling him that the information was based on court papers, he insisted he had no knowledge of the case.
But according to an application filed in January in the Johannesburg High Court by FFS Finance SA, the 28-year-old iThemba hit-maker has indeed fallen behind in his vehicle instalments. The documents show that Emtee signed the contract for the car on February 19 2018. However, it was recently reported that Emtee dumps the Saftas’ in the eleventh hour as he vanishes before the live performance.
No doubt Emtee is trending for the wrong reasons just like always. The star singer who seems to have found his feet again amongst South African finest has left many talking after he pulled a shocker. Despite being one of the star performers of the controversial awards Emtee didn’t show up. Rapper Emtee went Awol on singer Ami Faku a few minutes before their televised performance at the SA Film and Television Awards (Saftas) last weekend.
