Breaking: Zesa announces countrywide load shedding
With the national lockdown upon us and the majority of the population working remotely, electricity is a necessity. The floods are contributing to a number of faults and due to the closure of the informal sector, some are resorting to vandalising and stealing power cables for survival. This imposes a strain on the national power supply thereby leaving ZESA with only one option to release pressure on its power supply.
Taking to Twitter, the Secretary of Information Nick Mangwana announces ZESA‘s new load shedding schedule:
ZESA advises that there is a technical fault at Hwange Power Station which will result in “load curtailment during the evening peak period of 1600 to 1900hrs.”
