Breaking News: Zondo Office Robbery, ‘laptops and crucial files stolen’
It has been established that there was a break-in at the State Capture Inquiry’s headquarters in Parktown Johannesburg. The break-in saw several laptops with confidential issues being stolen and it was also established that crucial files were also stolen during the robbery.
According to inside sources, the robbery apparently happened overnight on Saturday 17 April. The details of what really transpired are still unknown and the motive behind the robbery is yet to be established.
However, speaking to the media Colonel Noxolo Kweza couldn’t confirm or deny the incident. Instead, she indicated that she was waiting for directives from her seniors.
Commission spokesperson Mbuyiselo Stemela indicated that they were preparing a press release in regards to the alleged burglary
“Well the commission will release a press statement later, or tomorrow,”.he said.
