PRETORIA: ANC Member of Parliament has found himself trending for the same reason that he accused his political foe and EFF Leader Julius Malema. Mamabolo accused Malema of physically abusing his wife Mantoa Matlala. He made the accusations during the State of The Nation.
Magdeline Makgato has come out in an interview with Sunday World to accuse Mamabolo of hypocrisy as she claims to be a victim of Gender Based Violence in the hands of Mamabolo. She recalled that sometime in 2012 she was hit by a Coca-cola bottle by Mamabolo who was suspecting her of cheating.”I was admitted at Medi-clinic Polokwane,” she said.
“He found some messages which had been sent by my former classmate in my phone. He is very insecure and always wanted to check my phone. He then asked me and started beating me. He took a Coca-cola bottle and hit me with it. I almost lost my life,” she recalled
Statements in possession of Sunday World revealed the incident was reported. The statement read:
She was locked in and beaten badly. The complainant was at her boyfriend when she was beaten by a bottle of coke. The complainant suffered tissue injuries. The suspect drove her and left her at her mother’s house on 16 June 2012 at 10:30pm. The victim was assisted by her mother to get an ambulance and proceeded to the hospital. The suspect is Boy Mamabolo
The recent fight with Malema started when the EFF MPs when Malema had raised a point of order in Parliament.
Boy Mamabolo was angered by the giggles that sparked when EFF Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi told him “This is not My Perfect Wedding” in reference to the white suit and bow tie he was wearing. Ndlozi’s statement attracted giggles from MPs including from his party ANC.
Mamabolo then launched a personal attack at Malema. “Speaker, we have been abused here for too long in the same way Malema abuses his wife at home,” Mamabolo barked.
Soon after SONA, Malema and his wife Mantoa launched lawsuits at Mamabolo ordering him to retract his statement or face o a One million Rand lawsuit. President Ramaphosa intervened by apologising to the EFF leader and slamming the use of the Gender Based Violence (GBV) topic as a political tool.
