Boring Mzansi soapie The Queen set to replace SABC 2 hit soapie Muvhango after two decades on the air. After news spread that Muvhango would be canceled on SABC, many people were left wondering how they would fill in the void. News reaching Savanna News is that the popular Mzansi Magic boring soapie, The Queen will be moving to SABC 2.
Despite Muvhango being one of the most followed drama series in Mzansi, its cancellation from SABC is still unanswered. The SABC is apparently canceling its contract with Muvhango after more than two decades for Mzansi Magic’s number one Telenovela; The Queen.
Muvhango cancelation comes after the soapie is said to have failed to gain viewership in the past years. It is unknown when The Queen will premiere on the channel as Muvhango still needs to iron out its final episodes before its exit from the channel.

Apparently, The Ferguson’s want to compete with Generations The Legacy and Uzalo in ratings, and they want everyone to have access to their show. It is unclear how long its contract with SABC is or whether the novella will showcase its old episodes only just like The River on Mzansi Magic.
The Queen fans have not been pleased with the current storyline for a long time and the continuous changes in actors and have requested that a better show be placed on the 9 PM slot. The Queen is currently the most viewed show on Mzansi Magic despite numerous requests by fans to have it removed with immediate effect. There’s been no word from Multichoice or The Fergusons on which show will supersede The Queen when it moves to the SABC yet.
Mzansi Magic hit soapie’s current storyline which is similar to previous seasons features the Sebata’s; Rapulana Seiphemo who plays Hector Sebata, Thando Sebata played by Jessica Nkosi and Mpho Sebata played by Duma Ntando. The Sebata’s are currently at a turf war with The Khoza’s, which is a repetition of The Mabuza’s and The Khoza’s turf war in season two, three, and four.

The Queen’s introductions of the veteran actress; Brenda Ngxoli who plays Noma hasn’t improved the storyline either, as she seems out of character and clueless. Brenda who is loved for Xhosa and her ability to turn any script into gold has been a couch character and lost her magic since joining the show. She is in fact very irritating, makes everything more awkward and cringe-worthy.
