How did Bontle Modiselle’s career start?
It all starts off in 2007, when Bontle joins dance classes and choreography lessons. She then steps into the entertainment panorama as a model and part-time dancer. This sees her featuring in music videos of artists DJ Tira, Rouge, and Major League DJz. Doors unlock for her and she gives acting a try where she lands her debut film “Hear Me Move” in 2014 where she plays Khanyi. She then plays Lindi in the first season of Thula’s Vine then Meme in “Lokshin FM”.

Choreography Career
Bontle’s dancing skills make her the go to choreographer in Mzansi. In 2016, she becomes the main choreographer of the African franchise of the “Lip Sync Battle”. Modiselle also lands a gig for choreography at the MTV Africa Music Awards that same year. In June 2019, Modiselle is the lead choreographer for the Castle Lite Unlocks edition event headlined by Meek Mill (American rapper). She goes on to feature in the Basketball National League (under a group called Set If Off) and The MultiChoice Diski Challenge.

Who is Bontle Modiselle’s Husband?
She is married to Ricardo Moloi (Priddy Ugly). They started off as friends back when MXit was still the ”it” chatting platform. “We were friends for like two years from when I was 16. And then at the end of my matric year a young pretty lady asked me out,” Bontle Modiselle’s husband says.
“Naturally, he had seen me before I met him but I had known about him and I was part of the reps (a dance crew) at the time. Myself and the girls in the reps would spazz over this guy and I didn’t have the courage to approach. I thought he was entirely out of my league because I came from a humble home and dressed humbly. I didn’t think he’d like me,” the dancer explained.
After becoming friends, Bontle takes a shot on Ricardo Moloi (Priddy Ugly) and here they are 14 years later. The couple ties the knot in September 2019 and welcomes their first child(Afrika) in November the same year.
Bontle Modiselle Opens Up About Miscarriages.
The artist slays her pregnancy as she posts videos of her dancing and making everyone drool. She carries her pregnancy so well but it was not all rosy and Bontle bares all on social media prior to giving birth.
“I know my pregnancy journey looked easy. My approach was deliberate. Intentional! I made certain to dance my way through it. To have someone inspired to see and feel pregnancy differently was a goal. However, my difficulties never made it to the socials.”
Most of her difficulties however occur way before Afrika (daughter) is conceived. Bontle goes on to reveal how she had to endure the twinge of recuperating from two miscarriages in the past. She reveals this in an Instagram post that had fans heartbroken.
“Bring on the swelling, discoloration, the stretch marks, soft spots & cellulite. I’m not immune. Let me have a field day with the sleepless nights. The countless nappy changes and random cries trying to figure out what she needs. Let me fall in love with the newer imperfections my body has inherited. These are the vain concerns I’d trade in any day for my baby, who I now get to stare at, hold, kiss and love unconditionally. This image is Day 10 of my post-partum and we still take it a day at a time…with greater intent.”

It is the 21st Century and women can be providers too right. So what if it is the case of Bontle and Priddy’s marriage? A tweet pops up and reads, “Kwesta started dating his wife when he was still a nobody. Bontle Modiselle used to pay for Priddy Ugly’s studio when Priddy was still broke. Lesson behind this: ladies build your man and grind & hustle with him, believe in his dreams regardless of his background and his situation. (sic).” Suddenly twitter turns into a war zone with everyone airing out their views. The couple however denies co-dependency on either party, because they believe in working as a team.
