Black Motion slipt turned ugly as a theft case was opened against former black motion member Murdah Bongz at Olievenhoutbosch police station, north of Johannesburg, on Thursday.
Moses Nkia Mokgoko, who owns Black Motion’s record label, popularly known as Spirit Motion, alleged Murdah, who recently left the duo to pursue a solo career, broke into their Centurion house, which they use as an office and studio, on Thursday and took studio monitors, a television set, computer hard drives and mixing desk. According to a source close to the artists, Murdah vacated the property bought by him, fellow member @realthabosmol and Mokgoko and went to live with his girlfriend and the mother of his child, DJ Zinhle.
A theft case opened against Murdah Bongz
Unconfirmed sources have it that Mokgoko discovered the forced entry to the house when he arrived on Thursday and realised the door to the bedroom of Black Motion’s new member, Kabelo “Problem Child” Koma, was broken and the room trashed.
A close source revealed that:
This is not the first time he did this. A few weeks ago, he allegedly went to the house and trashed it. He then went into the studio and allegedly deleted some of the songs Smol and Problem Child had recorded. Thereafter he allegedly took Thabo’s passport and left,”
After some discussions with him, they decided to let it slide and not press charges. They instead changed the door locks. It is alleged that celebrated musician Murdah Bongz broke down the doors to access the house to take the studio equipment. The other members of Black Motion were out performing at a gig when he allegedly did this. It also looks alleged that the information was corroborated in a police statement.
Mokgoko also confirmed he had opened a case of malicious damage to property against Murdah.
“The case has been opened and is being handled by the police,”
He said.
Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Col Noxolo Kweza confirmed Mokgoko had opened a case against Mahosana, but no arrest had been made.
Mzansi reacts to the story.
After the news that Murdah Bongz could face jail after breaking into their Centurion house, which they use as an office and studio, Mzansi reacted. Many people said it was also Murdah’s house, so they had no right to sue him. Mzanzi noted that the other members of Black Motion might be jealous of Murdah since he is doing well in his solo career.
An Instagram user commented:
They changed the locks to the house he owns with them? Probably took his own equipment… so if I break into my own house and take my things it’s theft? But he owns the house too. How does someone break into his own house? That’s what I’m not understanding
Others also believe the story is untrue as there is no history of Murdah being behind bars for theft.
We all know this is not a break in… clearly they are conflicting and if he can tell his side of the story kuzocaca ukuthi they needed a legal person to manage the split. Something is off; it’s not Adding up!
