Seasoned actress Lydia Mokgokoloshi has kissed her on-screen character of Koko Mantsha on Skeem Saam goodbye. For months, she hasn’t featured in the drama series, and Mzansi was more than worried. It seems as if the veteran actress has already left the educational drama series for Giyani.
Best known for her on-screen characters MmaNkwesheng and Koko Mantsha Skeem Saam, the seasoned actress will be joining the star-studded cast of Giyani. In the drama series, she will be playing the on-screen character of Manoko’s mother.
The news of her latest gig was revealed by entertainment blogger Phil Mphela who confirmed that Lydia was switching the floor for Giyani. Her new gig will see her starring alongside some of Mzansi’s finest Rami Chuene. After being part of the cast for more than a decade, Skeem Saam viewers were saddened by her exit. She joined the show since its debut in 2011.
