Big Zulu Father’s Day turns emotional when a fan educates him about the great history of his late father.
Big Zulu was driving down the road in KZN when excited fans stopped his car. Inkabi took a trip back home to connect to his father’s spirit on Father’s day. He got a great history of his father’s legacy from one of his fans.
Amongst those fans was a woman who gave him details about his parents and how well she knew them
The woman reminisced about how Big Zulu’s father used to love cleanliness and mentioned that he loved the soccer club Kaizer Chiefs.
The lady says she went to school with Zulu’s mother when they lived in Hillbrow and studied at Wits.
The lady referred to Big Zulu as Siya; as you all know, his real name is Siyabonga Nene. The woman’s husband called her MaMvelase and explained that they lived in the area. MaMvelase said she had a picture of his parents from long ago.
Big Zulu looked pleasantly surprised and became a little emotional about the information given to him by this lady.
She asked him if he knew how to play soccer because his dad was a great soccer player in the area, detailing how his parents met when his father was working at Eskom. She also asked him about his sister.
Big Zulu wrote this caption in IsiZulu, which is Translated into English.
“Today I went to my father’s home because I missed him. I met people who knew him and told me stories about him. It’s been a long time since he left me. I am so thankful.”
It doesn’t end there.
He shared another video of what happened when he finally got home. He is seen sitting with a group of men sharing meat and singing Isicathamiya songs.
His fans had to take it to the comments about the amount of meat laid on the table, but then it wouldn’t be Big Zulu if he didn’t by a lot of heart; he even wrote a song about it called “Ng’funukudl’ inyama eningi.”
It looks like Big Zulu enjoyed Father’s Day and appreciated his parents’ history.
