Big blow for Scandal as actress ‘Lindiwe Ngema’ Nomvelo Makhanya exits drama series after 10 years
Trouble in paradise for etvs drama series Scandal as Nomvelo Makhanya exits the show. The bubbly actress will kiss her on-screen character of Lindiwe Ngema after playing the character for ten years. No doubt it’s a big blow for the drama series.
She joined the drama series at the age of 16 and went on to become one of Mzansi’s finest. Her illustrious career spanning decades has seen her win big in the entertainment industry. Her unmatched acting flair has seen her being that actress we all love to hate.
However, little is known about how she will exit the drama series. Confirmed sources have since confirmed her exit. Taking it to Twitter, social media blogger Phil Mphela shared a Twitter thread letting the cat out of the bag about her exit. Rumour mill has it that she might have landed another lead role. Some are still confused about whether her exit is temporary or if she kissing her on-screen character for good.

She trended for the wrong reasons in the mix of her newfound fame on Scandal in 2018. Her thrust into the limelight came in the backdrop of her on-screen character in iSibaya and Soul City. Like any other actress, she received her fair share of criticism and was cyber bullied on social media. Well, this didn’t distract her.
She has been wowing us her on-screen character as Nhlamulo’s wife after they tied the knot in what was dupped as the on-screen marriage of the year. Their marriage has been marred with cheating allegations, dark secrets and trust issues, but they have managed to keep that under wraps. Mzansi has since been trying to connect the dots about her exit. No doubt the much-talked-about exit will be capped with drama and thrills.
The bubbly actress was born 24 April 1996 in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Of interest is that whilst growing up, she had a passion for sports but couldn’t let her craze for acting go unnoticed. Despite being born and bred in Natal, the actress had to relocate to Johannesburg. She once revealed she had had several counselling sessions after being diagnosed with anxiety and depression.
