Back with a bang: Actress Gugu Gumede returns on Uzalo after brief exit
Gugu Gumede found herself trending today after sharing on her Instagram that she is set to report to work tomorrow. Her character on Uzalo was on hold after the actress fell pregnant and had to go on maternity leave. Her break from the show had Uzalo fans unimpressed as they love watching Gugu’s extraordinary acting skills every weekday.
Gugu Gumede plays the character of Mamlambo, who has visited Ndwedwe to see Gogo Menziwa, her spiritual cleansing. She had gone through the worst in her life, so she wanted to cleanse herself from the bad luck. She is a spiritual seer of KwaMashu who help people being tormented by evil spirits, so it becomes a nightmare to help others when she also needs a deliverance.

The actress we all love to hate took to Instagram to inform her fans that she would be starting work tomorrow. Uzalo fans and Mzansi were excited about the news, and they couldn’t wait to see their favourite actress on screen.
Taking to Instagram, Gugu Gumede wrote:
My 6-month maternity leave officially ends tomorrow 🫠 Excited to be back with my @uzalo_sabc1 fam, but incredibly nervous about leaving my princess. Mommies, what made this transition easier for you? Please send some words of encouragement 😩💕
The actress is excited to report to work, but at the same time, she is scared to leave her newly born baby home. Well, duty calls, and she had to do work to be able to put food on the table. It’s hard to be separated from her princess for long hours for the first time, but she had to do it.
Being a good mother means you have to live outside your comfort zone, and she has proved she is one. As difficult as it is, she will be going back on set to kill Mzansi with her phenomenal acting skills.
