Axed Uzalo actor Qhabanga ‘Siyabonga Shibe’ Joins The Cast Of Rockville
Late last year Uzalo confirmed that star actor Siyabonga Shibe was leaving the show and his much talked about exit made all sorts of rounds. However, in the wake of his exit from Uzalo Siyabonga Shibe who played Qhabanga has bagged a gig on Rockville.
He will be part of the new vibrant cast for the upcoming 5th season, of the newly revived show, Rockville. Shona Ferguson confirmed the latest development and took it to social media to announce their new addition to the cast.
Shona Ferguson shared a picture with the former Uzalo actor, together with actress Thuli Phongolo and actor Nhlanhla Mdlalose.

The revived cast boast around with seasoned actors which includes Mbali Mlotshwa, Ayanda Thabethe and Brenda Ngxoli. The Fergusons took Mzansi by surprise when they indicated that they will also be part of the vibrant cast for season 5. Shibe said goodbye to his Uzalo character late last year along with Baby Cele.

The reasons behind his exit are yet unknown even up to now. But in his emotional farewell emotional message, Shibe shared a cryptic message which left Mzansi talking “I shall be back.”

However, his exit came in the backdrop of the mass exodus of lead actors from Uzalo. Despite the old guards being back for season 7, Uzalo made all sorts of headlines when firebrands like GC and Master Mind deserted the show.
After Shibe exit, Uzalo firebrand and lead actor Dawn Thandeka King pulled a shocker when she called it quits for a new gig. Rumour has it that Uzalo salary woes have been the major contributing factor for most actors exit.
