Angie Motshekga full name Mantsie Angelina Motshekga is a South African Politician and the current minister of Basic Education, a position she held since 11 May 2009 under President Jacob Zuma administration and reappointed in May 2011. She was assigned the same position by President Cyril Ramaphosa’s government.

From 2000 to 2004 she also served as a member of the Gauteng Executive Council (MEC) for Social Services and Population Development.
