A video of Royal AM chairman and player Andile Mpisane’s intense training session was shared on X and it quickly became viral – social media users had mixed reactions to the famous Midfielder’s abilities. The Royal AM coach John Maduka defended his choice to start club chairperson Andile Mpisane in the DStv Premiership game against AmaZulu. This was after Royal AM suffered a 3-0 loss to AmaZulu on 29 December, last year.

“It was his first game to play, to start the game…The game-time is always challenging, but he had some opportunities to play [in the past], and we’re glad we gave him a chance to play,” Maduka said, as reported by the FARPost website. However, Mpisane faced a lot of criticism after the defeat. But he has ignored his haters and is showing his determination by working hard during his training sessions.
