Online retail giant Amazon has announced 3,000 new open jobs for South Africans who can work from home. Here is how you can apply.
The new recruitment drive will result in a total 7,000 people being employed by Amazon in South Africa.
“We are thrilled with the talent in South Africa and we are excited to help keep people working during this unprecedented time,” said the Amazon in a statement. The virtual jobs will enable South Africans to work without having the need of an office but just an internet connection with the company paying for it.
The jobs are a mixture of permanent and temporary roles, and come with employer contributions toward medical aid and provident fund, group life cover, employee wellness programmes, and a monthly stipend for your Internet connection.

The company is looking for customer service associates and other technical experts who will work from South Africa and provide support to Amazon customers in the United States and Europe.
Here’s what you need to qualify for Amazon jobs in South Africa
■ Matric or Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification or better
■ Excellent written and spoken English
■ A private, quiet place to work without disturbances
■ An existing and dedicated internet connection
■ South African citizenship.
