He has been topping the trends of late, from his smash hit Lemonade with Nasty C to a brawl with Cassper Nyovest. AKA drama has fast become a typical reality show we can’t get enough of after all. However, in the wake of all this drama, he has been trending of late after he seemingly revealed that he was working on something with Drip.
Mzansi was puzzled, given that Drip has been working with his bitter rival Cassper Nyovest as their ambassador. Of interest is that Cassper is the brains behind the Root Of Fame sneaker line that made the sneaker brand famous in Mzansi and beyond.
AKA hints at a deal with Drip Footwear
No doubt, AKA seems to be on the same path as his rival Cassper, Nyovest, when making money outside of music. He doesn’t care much about Nyovest’s business after all. AKA shared a series of pictures on Twitter at the Drip Footwear headquarters with the boss of the brand Lekau Sehoana.
In the wake of the viral pictures, Mzansi was more than convinced that he was there to make many moves. To make matters worse, his cryptic caption seemingly left much to be desired. AKA’s fans applauded him while some peeps commented their guesses that the rapper wanted to ruffle Cass’ feathers.
Cassper and AKA seem to be determined to one-up each other. The rapper was the latest to make a move by implying that he is working with Drip like Mufasa.
AKA accused of doing everything Cassper does
Of interest is that at some point, Cassper Nyovest did dirty on AKA when he secured a gig with SABC to replace AKA on the Braai Show. However, in the mix of things, the whole saga later ended in the courts as AKA wanted a massive chunk of profits from the show and insisted that he had 50% to it.
However, Cassper Nyovest didn’t weigh into the matter but seemingly took a swipe at AKA that he was not bothered by who the owner was but rather his money from the contract.
The two have dominated the music industry and the business world. They have made a fortune from the business end of things.
However, in the wake of their newfound fame as business moguls, they have only gone head to head when developing products, and AKA’s latest move proves it. Here are some comments that flooded social media when AKA shared his post on Twitter:
You took Nadia from Cassper now you’re taking Lekau
If the braai show was strictly business then this is also business
