The long wait is finally over as celebrated business mogul Shauwn Mkhize is set to make her much-awaited debut on Durban Gen. A few weeks it was reported that she would be having her next on-screen stop on the e.tv medical drama series. Confirmed reports have it that she has already joined the star-studded cast of Durban Gen and is already on set with the rest of the cast. Her debut is slated for 28 October.
Of interest, she will tag along her off-screen lifestyle and personality on-screen. She will star as Shauwn Mkhize. The bubbly cum-actress will star as a sponsor to an NGO that Sne finds herself establishing later on in the series No doubt Durban Gen is no stranger to welcoming big names to the show.
According to the show, viewers can expect some interesting conversations to be sparked by including MaMkhize.
“Businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize has ventured into acting as she has joined Durban Gen,” Zondi said.
However, at some point, she hogged the headlines for the wrong reasons when she rubbished claims that she had joined the drama series. A close source to her revealed that the actress and the showrunners later found common ground to tag her along in their storyline. The source revealed:
“There were clashes with her schedule as she is a busy woman. And she had to postpone her shootings, but she comes when her schedule allows her to do so. The plan is for her to appear in October. She won’t stay long as her role is a cameo.“

In the wake of her denial, the show’s spokesperson is singing from a different hymnal. Nomfundo Zondi has since confirmed the news of MaMkhize joining Durban Gen. She revealed:
“Businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize has ventured into acting as she has joined Durban Gen.“

They have been making all sorts of headlines throughout their series The Wife aired on Showmax. And in the wake of the newfound fame, the showrunners seem to have found Shauwn Mkhize as their new darling. She has already starred in Uzalo in a cameo role now Durban Gen.
