While their professional turns prove curious and stimulating on their own, with on-screen tales and off-screen intrigue keeping Mzansi glued to their screens. The lives of celebrities before their big break often prove even more fascinating, especially when it comes to their educational background.
Not only does discovering celebrity academic qualifications give us a glimpse into what they could have been, but it also allows us to learn a little more about the individual. Here is a sneak peek at DJ Zinhle and Bonang Matheba’s academic qualifications to distinguish who is more educated.
Educational Qualifications of DJ Zinhle and Bonang Matheba
Ntombezinhle Jiyane, famously known as DJ Zinhle, was born in Dannhauser, KwaZulu Natal. She grew up in a family that believed education was the key to success and her mother, Jabu Jiyane, ensured her daughter had the best education. Zinhle wanted to be a DJ while growing up, but her mother wanted her to have a professional Certificate in Education. DJ Zinhle did her secondary school at Siyamukela High school in Emadadeni Newcastle, passed with good grades and registered for tertiary education. DJ Zinhle studied for a Bachelor of Marketing Degree at the University of Johannesburg.
After graduating with her Degree in Marketing, Zinhle pursued another Degree in Arts from the University of Witwatersrand. She is indeed an educational smartie with two degrees to show for it.
On the other hand, Bonang Matheba is also an academic genius with a degree to show for it.
Bonang Matheba grew up in a family where her parents were highly educated. Her father, Andrew Matheba, was a Senior Lecturer at the University of North West, and her mother was the Executive Vice President for Human Resources and Corporate Affairs at Sasol. Bonang’s parents understood the importance of education in one’s life and sent their daughter to elite schools.
Bonang attended Fourways High School, one of Johannesburg’s affluent secondary schools, and she passed with flying colours. After finishing secondary school, she enrolled at the University of Johannesburg for a Degree in Marketing. Still, unfortunately, she had to drop out of college to focus on her career. It’s not clear if she later enrolled for tertiary education so she could finish her degree.
