Last week Gomora actres Sannah Mchunu saw herself being Mzansi’s favourite actres at the DSTV Viewers Choice awards. On the day, she could not hide her joy as she went into tears whilst giving her speech. She could only thank the fans and, most importantly, her Gomora team for giving her the right platform to showcase her outstanding talents.
As if it was all over and past, her workmates could not let it go without a big celebration. Typical of Zodwa, she cried again as she received gifts and flowers from her fellow workmates. The Gomora family decided to use their voices as they sang loudly and wildly the songs of praise to the Viewers’ favourite actress in Mzansi. The loving workmates undoubtedly showed that they are a family away from home.

The actors and camera team showed so much energy as they sang songs of praise to Zodwa. They clapped with joy and danced all over the room, taking videos and pictures while some were drinking. Some people sang and danced outside the room as they celebrated Zodwa’s success. The musician of the Gomora family ‘Teddy’ Sicelo Buthelezi, led the choir as the celebrations went wild.
Like always, the emotional Zodwa did what she did in such moments. She broke into tears, but this time she couldn’t win any. One of the ladies close to her went on to wipe the tears of joy from Mzansi, DSTV Viewers Choice’s favourite actress. The event was even more organised and planned despite the energetic dancing and singing. The tables were filled with drinks and food so were the flowers all over the place. Zodwa could not ask for a better team to work with other than that of Gomora.

On Gomora, Zodwa is a character everyone would like to hate. She showed her skills as she moved from being an irresponsible drunkard to an organised woman. She is now a wife to Bongani and a reliable mother to Teddy and Sibongile. Despite all the changes, Zodwa represents a less privileged family on the show showing how humility can carry a family despite difficulties.
In real life, Sannah showed that she is one of the most emotional celebrities. She cannot claim the glory for herself despite hitting the highest heights. Instead of bragging about her success, Sannah gave all her thanks to her family and workmates. It resembles why everyone loves to see her reaching even higher heights.
