Katlego Maboe to Host the 2023 Metro FM Music Awards
Katlego Maboe has had a successful career as a host for various corporate and entertainment award ceremonies for over a decade. However, being announced as one of the official hosts for the Metro FM Music Awards 2023 is a highlight for him. On May 6th, he will take the stage at Mbombela Stadium alongside Lerato ‘LKG’ Kganyago.
“Music is quite a big part of my life, it’s through music that I found myself on television and entertainment at large. This is probably one of the biggest gigs I have bagged in my career. I am absolutely honoured and very excited, this is a huge gig,” he told TshisaLIVE.
Music has always been an important part of Katlego’s life, and he credits it for his success in television and entertainment. He is honoured and excited to be hosting one of the biggest gigs of his career.
“I have been doing this for quite some time and it’s something I believe is part of my DNA of who I am. Every single award show you present or any show, you approach with reverence.”
In preparation for the star-studded show, Katlego and his team have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure a successful event.
“I don’t take for granted the opportunities that have in recent times come knocking at my door through the support of people who’ve just stood by me, prayed for me, and helped me through the toughest times that these opportunities have come around.
“I’m so grateful that I still have an opportunity to be part of what I believe is an incredible industry.”
After a two-year hiatus due to a cheating scandal and subsequent lawsuits, Katlego is grateful for the support he has received from those who stood by him during tough times. He is excited to return to the industry and looks forward to celebrating fresh faces and legends in the music scene.
