RHOD star Annie Mthembu discusses the shame she felt after having an abortion and how it affected her church attendance

“Before I started dating him I was scared of God. I had an abortion and that made me ashamed to a point where I couldn’t walk into church without crying. I couldn’t face God, I wanted to hide from him, I didn’t want to talk to him,” she said.

Annie has been married to her husband for nearly two years since tying the knot at the luxurious La Paris Estate in the Cape winelands in 2021.

Despite rumours of her husband allegedly having an affair, Annie does not cease to gush over her hubby.

When celebrating their anniversary, the couple expressed their love for each other.

“We’re on an ultralight beam, this is a God dream. Happy anniversary, my light. May God deliver us serenity. Deliver us peace. Deliver us loving. Always. I love you.”
