No doubt Podcast and Chill with MacG woes have fast become reality shows. The second biggest podcast in the world has been topping trends for the wrong reasons of late; this comes after MacG axed two of his crew members, Aya and Maligant.
The two have been part of the podcast and have complimented the show’s success despite being in the shadows of MacG, Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady.
Both crew members were confirmed to have been fired during the latest episode. Two episodes before, Podcast and Chill had delivered an episode late again on YouTube. A fact that MacG attributed to Aya delivering the sound late. Allegedly when MacG confronted Aya, he blamed this on a family emergency he had the night before.
However, when MacG checked his WhatsApp statuses, he found a story where Aya allegedly stated, “Nothing better than chilling with friends and listening to my album.”A status which MacG believed that Aya prioritised his album, which is ironically titled Value of Time, rather than his paying job with the podcast.
Podcast and Chill’s Aya breaks his silence after being fired
When the episode went viral, Aya Prow took to Twitter to share a suggestive post that addressed the allegations about his lacklustre performance of late on Podcast and Chill. Aya seemed to suggest that MacG, who has in the past been accused of arrogance in light of the continued success of the podcast, was a liar.
Of interest is the fact that Musa Khawula has revealed that he has tagged some of the axed duo to his podcast. Could he be eyeing for Podcast and Chill with MacG post?
However, he shared a Twitter thread revealing that he was bouncing back more robustly with the duo from Podcast and Chill with MacG. In the mix of things, the two are yet to confirm whether they are now part of Musa Khawula’s podcast.
In the wake of his newfound fame on Twitter due to his hot gossip, he switched the floor to podcasts. Well, it hasn’t been all rosy for him. A few weeks ago, he almost saw his official YouTube account being suspended. However, that did not happen, and his content was deleted from the platform. And it seems as if tagging Aya along is a win for him since he knows the dynamics of podcasts, given his extended stay with MacG.
Apart from that, the fired duo has been hanging around with A-list celebrities. Whilst on the podcast, MacG and Sol revealed that they bumped into the fired duo whilst travelling with Sir Trill.
And of interest is the fact that Aya is taking his music career seriously and is not turning back. Podcast and Chill with MacG hosts did reveal that there was no bad blood between them and the duo and even extended a kind gesture to invite them to the much talked about year-end Christmas party slated for December.
