From riches to rags. Yizo Yizo actor ’Bobo’ Innocent Masuku is set to appear on Mzansi Magic’s I Blew It. He is best known for his on-screen character on Yizo Yizo as Bobo, a drug addict and a street hustler who knew how to get the job done. No doubt he was dupped as the next big thing to small screens, but in the wake of his newfound fame, he ruined his career.
He brought the eKasi vibe on-screen, and Mzansi fell in love with his unmatched acting flair. In the drama series, he starred alongside several big names on the small screens, like Ronnie Nyakale. However, in the mix of things he took his on-screen character home, drug addiction took a toll on his career.
In the wake of his newfound fame, he disappeared from the limelight only to be spotted in the streets. Mzansi was more than puzzled about his welfare after it was established that he was battling drug addiction, only to be forced into rehabilitation. He has since bounced back and shared how drugs and fame ruined his career.
Upon his return, Mzansi was more than puzzled to learn that he was set to appear in the fifth season of Mzansi Magic’s I Blew It. The show follows South Africans who were once wealthy but blew their money away.

Reports have it that he has had some shoots for his late episodes. He will share his story of drug abuse’s devastating effects and will again do the same. However, he happens to be the latest celebrity featured in the reality show. Taking to Twitter, he posted:
“Today I’m sharing my story on how I blew it” TV reality show. Catch my story on season 5 coming soon.” he tweeted. I shared a different perspective on drug addiction on the reality show ” I blew it”… Which led me to pounce on everything I ever worked hard for… PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS.”

In an interview with MacG and Sol on Podcast and Chill, he took Mzansi into his woes. Masuku left Mzansi shell-shocked when he revealed that he lost about R500k on drugs. However, in the backdrop of his addiction, he even lost at least R5 million in the industry because of his drug addiction.
“I spent more than R500k on drugs. Actually, when I combine all the money I lost in the industry at least 5 million…”
