China’s capital Beijing has orders the city schools to be closed again after Covid-19 infections increased in the city. Beijing is home to 21 million people.
The commission said on its WeChat social media account that schools and universities have been directed to resume online teaching until the outbreak is under control.
The outbreak has been desctibed by authorities as extremely severe and travel have been curtailed. The novel coronavirus started in China’s Wuhan city in December 2019 and has spread to almost every country in the world with 7.8 million infections and 430 000 deaths
