Phindile wore a long, white dress typically worn by Muslim men to honour their religion and demonstrate how devoted they are to their beliefs while going about their daily lives. Phindile went so far as to give herself the Muslim name Arafat because of what she wore. She also paired the outfit with an expensive black Louis Vuitton slim bag and a brown Louis Vuitton head wrap, which gave it the look and taste of luxury it needed.

Her pastor parents raised Phindile Gwala in Eshowe, Kwazulu Natal, where she was born in December 1986. She was raised in a household where her parents insisted that Phindile attend quality schools because they thought education was the key to success. Phindile enrolled at Raizcorp after completing her matriculation and studied business there. Later, she attended South West Gauteng College, earning her N5 certificate in Business Management.
The curvy actress majored in Business Management to use her education outside the classroom. Phindile owns the Shisanyama and Lotha’s Car Wash companies in Wynberg Johannesburg. Her successful car wash company combines the names of her daughters, Lola and Thato.
