Masoja Msiza, who plays the character of Nkuzi on Uzalo, celebrated his birthday in style this year. The actor, whom many love to hate due to his villain character, was born on the 5th of October 1964 in Kwa-Thema Gauteng, South Africa. As he was celebrating his birthday, his cast members showed him some love proving that they are a family away from home.
The production team of Uzalo touched the heart of their co-worker Nkunzi while celebrating his birthday, and he took to Instagram to share his joy with Mzansi and followers. Captioning his post, Masoja wrote:

Masoja was on set when the entire production team and actors of Uzalo surprised him by singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song to him. The star was happy that his fellow actors remembered his birthday and started singing along with them; the moment was beautiful and emotional. The other crew was piping through the windows as they sang, showing that they were in full support of the event that was taking place.
Uzalo cast also teased that they will be hosting Masoja’s birthday in a glamorous event, but they have not disclosed the location and time. Masoja is jovial about celebrating his 58th birthday, and he could not ask for better teamwork to work with other than Uzalo.

A look at Masoja Msiza’s career in the acting industry
As the award-winning actor celebrates his birthday, we look at his journey in the acting industry. Masoja started acting when he was 9; he used to perform in school and church at 14 as he won a drama competition. However, he left acting and started working at a mine in his home town. He was later fired from his mining job after participating in a protest; well, losing his job was a blessing in disguise for Masoja as he decided to make strides in the acting industry again. His debut gig was featured in a play titled Mfowethu, written and directed by Gibson Kente.
