Actress Manaka Ranaka, popularly known as Lucy on Generations revealed to her fans how much her son has grown since she gave birth to him just one year ago.
Generations’ Lucy recently shared a video of her adorable son walking around in oversized shoes that were not his on Instagram. The young boy also appeared to be having fun because he was wearing a large hat that could not possibly fit his tiny head. Her baby’s nickname is baby Dragon, but she revealed on Instagram that his name is Seni.
Well-known media figures flocked to her comment section to express their shock at how quickly time passed. One of them is Celeste Ntuli, who couldn’t help but express her complete adoration for the infant with heartwarming and adorable emojis. Manaka Ranaka, the well-known actress who plays Lucy on Generations, is a mother of three children but rarely posts on social media about her children.
The SAFTA victory for Manaka was long overdue. The Generations crew celebrated Manaka Ranaka’s Best Actress victory in Lucy fashion. Mzansi thought she deserved it the most because she had given Lucy such a life. She took a lengthy break from the screen and abandoned Generations for months while pregnant with Seni.
It appears that her coworkers share this sentiment. The South African Film and Television Awards were held virtually. In the video of them celebrating her award, Manaka emerges from a room at Henley Studios to find Selma Tyelbooi and others waiting for her. As Manaka passes by, they all start singing a praise song. She then turned and waved directly at the camera.
On the television show Generations The Legacy, Manaka portrays Lucy Diale. Lucy is a determined, street-smart go-getter with a dash of flair. She is the proprietor of a shebeen in Alexander, also known as Gomora. Manaka joined Generations after the show dealt with a bizarre incident in which all the actors left the program due to a dispute with the SABC. Manaka was one of the new characters created by the channel for a fresh plot. As soon as she appeared on screen, she captured Mzansi’s heart; the rest is history.
Manaka won the award after competing against big-name actors like Shoki Mmola, who was nominated for her role as Celia Magongwa on Skeem Saam. As a result, this victory means a lot to her. Manaka thanked everyone for their assistance on set and commended her coworkers for always making it simple for her to advance Lucy on stage. Friends in the industry like Lerato Mvelase and Kelly Khumalo sent Manaka, congratulations and well wishes for a job well done.
