In September 2021, Zandile Khumalo took to Instagram to pen a lengthy post about how her relationship with her sister Kelly Khumalo was beyond repair. This came after fans of both the Khumalo sisters saw a post of their kids together and thought that meant the sisters had ended their feud. After many years of feuding, it looks like Zandile and Kelly Khumalo have finally reconciled and squashed their beef.
How the Khumalo sisters’ fight started
Zandile Khumalo shared on social media that she did not want to be associated with Kelly Khumalo anymore, stating that she was toxic. This came after Kelly shared on a public platform that Zandile’s husband was using her name to extort money from event promoters.
After that, Zandile was in an interview at Real Goboza when Kelly gate crashed the event and bullied her sister in public. Zandile shared with her fans that this was not the first time Kelly had stolen her shine in public or even bullied her. Things turned sour for the two once close sisters after Zandile took a restraining order against Kelly.
How Zandile and Kelly Khumalo cushioned their kids from the beef
The two seemed always to agree that there was no need to involve their kids in their fights. This is why Kelly Khumalo’s kids met Zandile’s one-year-old son before their mother, and a photo was taken that started rumours of the Khumalo sisters squashing their beef. However, Zandile shared that her decision to cut ties with Kelly still stood and said that maybe they would patch things up in the future, but she had no idea when that would be.

There is good news for the fans of the two vocalists as the pair have finally patched things up and reconciled after three years. Zandile took. Instagram to share pictures from her son Zenala’s Christening, and Kelly Khumalo was there. Zandile shared photos of herself holding Zenala while Kelly Khumalo played with her nephew showing there is no bad blood between them anymore. Kelly Khumalo also shared Zenala’s cake on her Instagram, calling him her boy, which warmed the hearts of many South Africans.
Despite not being on talking terms, Zandile stood by her sister during the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial and shared much information defending her sister. Zandile even claimed that maybe the robbers who shot Senzo may have been hired by the Meyiwa family. This is because hey hated that Kelly did not die that night. Zandile even urged the police to look into the Meyiwa family, not just her sister.
