The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng is incredibly fit and took to Twitter to show off her flexibility. The viral video that has since flooded social media has seen her being compared to the bubbly actress Connie Ferguson who stars in The Queen as Harriet Khoza.
Mzansi puzzled was her caption, leaving many connecting trying to connect the dots if she was 55 years old or not. The caption revealed that she was warming up for her daily walk.

The renowned academia has once again proved that she is fit as a fiddle, and age isn’t catching up with her of late. In the mix of things, the 55-year-old took to Twitter to share a video of herself stretching, proving how amazingly supple she is. However, she joked that despite her age, she is more flexible than her kids. She tweeted:
“Warming up for my daily walk. I’m a 55-year-old senior citizen, but I am still more flexible than all my children! Happy Sunday, friends and family! The sun is out, get up and take care of your body!”
Mzansi has since weighed in on the matter. Several comments flooded social media, and many have it that she might be two times fit than Connie Ferguson. Mzansi had to reconsider after the Chancellors video went viral. Despite being three years older than Connie, we can all conclude that she is a beast.

Rosina Mamokgethi Phakeng, born 1 November 1966, is a South African professor of mathematics education who, in 2018, became vice-chancellor of the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Phakeng was married to Richard Setati for 19 years, and they had one son, Tsholofelo, who was born in 1990. In 2012, she married Madimetja Lucky Phakeng, adding the appendage “Phakeng” to her surname. Lucky Phakeng is an advocate currently heading the Takeover Regulation Panel.
